The team roster for the initial training sessions will be finalized soon, so I need a solid answer from ANYONE who is interested now... or you'll miss the bus.

My roster currently stands thusly:

-=FOR THOSE OF YOU ALREADY ON THE ROSTER=-
At this time, please review the following links:
Link 1: All in Arma Terrain Pack (lite) - http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=27505
Link 2: Recruiting Server Base Modpack - https://mega.co.nz/#!KwAxGAIa! ... okzvGVpksEet18flFx9Q

These two downloads are sizeable (in excess of 2 Gigs). They will take time to download.
However, they are required in order to have access to the 15th MEU servers.
Seeing as we may see action as early as Monday or Tuesday (still yet TBD), it is vital that you download these and install them ASAP. If you need help, contact me, and we will jump on teamspeak to work on it together. I'm available most of today and tomorrow.

Also, the recording from the meeting with the representative for Arma, as well as the report, and links.txt document are available on the onedrive. If you need login deets, contact me.

I will be running training sessions sporadically through the next 7 days or so, depending on what the timeframe is for our first hardtime for joint ops will occur. Stay tuned and keep logging in to this forum to keep updated on new information.

BE SURE TO SUBSCRIPE TO THIS TOPIC, THIS IS MANDATORY
Otherwise you might miss out on vital, time-sensitive information.

I will be running a familiarization session tonight on the equipment that came with the new 15th pack.
This will be conducted in the Chernarus map. We can get familiarized with that as well.
Here is the event link, post your attendance.

I may be running another familiarization session tomorrow as well, maybe not... either way there will be more sessions.

You MUST download those mods and install them before you can access the familiarization sessions. The game will boot you out if you don't.

So, probably should start the download now, and let it run while you have other daily activities to perform. Again... the downloads are in excess of 2gigs total. It will take anywhere from 3 to 6 hours.

The 15th MEU pack is a lot smaller, so I may decide to change to a map we already have, just for efficiency's sake.

In the future though, we will be using the chernarus map.

Just keep these details in mind.

Zen, out.

Last nights familiarization was rather successful. There were some bugs and things identified to work out at a later time, and maybe a little bumping of some heads, but ultimately, we got our feet wet with some simple missions that establish what our job is all about.

We identified how to treat wounded personnel, get them walking, and get them extracted, which is a huge step in the right direction.

Future training missions will include infiltration by airborne operations, fast line infiltration, infiltration by sea, and will include a myriad of problems designed to confuse, disorient, and overall test your ability to accomplish the mission no matter what's thrown at you.

The training missions will be implemented in steps. It won't be balls to the wall right off the bat, I want to get you guys familiarized with what's expected out of a PJ, so that we can do our job so naturally, and fluently, that we don't even think about it.

Next training mission will be available by Wednesday. Probably will be executed on Thursday or Friday, depending on when people are available.

Please review the message following this one.

NOTE: PLEASE REVIEW THE MESSAGE JUST ABOVE THIS ONE FIRST!!

-=Training Mission=-

Operation: Broken Wing

So I took the time to read the Pararescue Jumper Training Manual publication AFSC 1T2X1. Based on this information, I will be designing a training mission for our JO Team.

I'm thinking we can give this a shot on Thursday or Friday night.

So you are aware, this mission will involve airborne operations (you will be jumping out of an aircraft) and limited resources, such as ammunition, and weapons.

This mission will be designed to simulate predetermined "unexpected" difficulties. This is designed to challenge your ability to overcome "non-ideal" situations.

Your loadouts will be predetermined before the jump. You will be facing a few armed hostiles, but this mission is going to be easier than normal, because the more important lessons to take from this are:

1: How to find, and get to the patient(s).
2: How to safely secure the patient(s).
3: How to remove them from hostile environments.
4: How to signal for extract, and successfully egress the patients out of hostile territory.

It will take me a few days to design the mission, but I will be using the new map pack that the 15th uses.

The mods for this mission are 15threc, CBA_A3, Task force radio, all in arma terrain pack (lite).

Please let me know when a good time will be for you guys.

Saturday is probably most ideal, but depending on upcoming meeting length. That could be the earliest. I just can't assure I could stay on for long.

Im concerned about the time crunch with the 15th MEU starting back up. I know that we have an opportune delay with their mod team working a bit longer to publish their new modpack, but the 15th seems like a very well organized group. When the new modpack is published, there may be a lot of activity very quickly.

I dont want us to get caught up in trying to untangle the mess after its made, id like us to be prepared. Do you want me to continue to train the guys and get them proficient at PRTF tasks?

Also, if it comes to it, I might need a little autonomy to rework the loadouts and uniforms to fit our purposes. After doing some of my own simulations and trial runs, as well as testing some of the new features... im getting a good idea of how to design a standard plan of action to provide recovery and emergency ops in a server with 70 people.

Ive also been researching PRTF manuals, and designing easy to follow 9 line receipts and standard flowchart models that minimize our response time significantly.

Will you upload a text file with your base PJ load-outs to the cloud-drive so we can all have them saved to the Virtual Arsenal to save game-time?
Besides the "para-jumping", I was thinking we might practice with the logistics system to figure out how to get wounded loaded to aircraft. Also, there is a script for using balloon-line aircraft extraction. It would surely impress the shit out of them if we could come in proficient in that. I will post a link at lunch.

There we go. Here is the skyhook script, which might be lots of fun to try to bring with us on a PJ joint op.
